El Poblano Mexican Restaurant in Chapin

This was our first visit to this Mexican restaurant, visiting from South Florida and having taste many mexican restaurants back home, this one was good and the service was fast and friendly. My only suggestion is to add more color to the nachos and less crema.

Great Mexican food. Try Parilla Fajitas. You won't be disappointed.

Wouldn't write a review about this but it's like the third time it's happened...Called in an order and the person who picked up the phone was rude...he hung up on me! This was well ahead of arrival. Wasn't ready when I got there. When I finally got my food and got home it was the wrong order! Last time I ordered, they gave me french fries instead of chips and they forgot an item....It's convenient and unhealthily good but I don't know if I'll be calling in any more to go orders from this place...Might be better off going the extra mile to the other mexican restaurant in town that hasn't ever mixed up my order!

Had the shrimp fajitaswith a skinny margarita. The shrimp was just okay. Needed more season. More guacamole and sour cream, a tablespoon of each will not get you a taste. The margarita was quite good. Next time I will just go for the margarita

Good mexican food. Guacamole and queso are always delicious. Great specials each night, quick service, no complaints.

Awful food. Ordered a Chile relleno and when I cut into it some brown lumpy stuff oozed out. Not a chili in sight. Rice was bland, bottom of the taco fell out when I picked it up. The avocado salad was a pile of shredded lettuce, a spoonful of guacamole and a tomato slice. I left hungry. Just gawd awful food.

We met to celebrate a birthday party. The service was great and the meal was good. we had a great time celebrating our friend's birthday.

Ate lunch here with my father and one of my friends. Service was prompt, our server was friendly, and the food was delicious. Their prices are very good for the portion size. Definitely recommend stopping by!

COVID-19 review: They offered outdoor seating and the tablets seemed clean.The food is good! I really enjoyed the Texas Fajitas and of course the chips and salsa! The customer service was friendly as well!

Great restaurant when you can go in and eat but lousy if you order to-go.Ordered last week and realized after we got home, they forgot the queso and the taco shells.😡 Placed an order tonight, asked multiple times about the order and was assured it was all complete. Got home to learn the chicken tacos were beef, the rice was missing and the chimichangas were covered with beans. Will not place a to-go order with them again.

Received the food very quickly. The chips and queso were delicious. The chimichanga meal was so large I couldn’t eat it all. Very friendly waitstaff as well. Get there early because it fills up fast.

I had the grilled chicken fajita lunch plate. It was very good. We asked for spicy salsa. They brought out a green salsa that was excellent!

Welcoming, fast service, delicious food, good selection, fantastic prices. This place cares about customers and the community. They got cool new chairs too!

Usually we have a good experience at El Poblanos. Tonight the food was good, however when we received our bill they had added 4 .99 cent charges to our bill. I ordered 2 quesadillas supposed to be 2 for 4.50 they charged me 4 something for 1 plus 2 additional.99 cent charges and 3 something for the other one plus ran additional.99 cent charge. My husbands meal was 7.00 they also added an extra .99 cent charge to his. We asked the waiter and he said extra meat charge and if we didn’t like it to argue with the cashier. The owner was at the register told him the issue, all he said was my computer make mistake and took off the one .99 cent charge. Wouldn’t even address the other laughed. And acted like he didn’t understand. My husband got angry paid the bill and said we will never be back. You can bet we will never be back!!!

Great food, great service. Prices are really good. Large outdoor tent with great seating. Man it is good, get you some.

We eat there almost every week. The food is fantastic. The meals come out quickly. The servers are great. I highly recommend it.

I’ll never go to this restaurant and advise my friends to do the same. Today at the Chapin Labor Day Parade they had a float, and were giving out these colorful hand fans, my six year old granddaughter asked very nicely if she could have one, the girl handing them out looked right at her and said no, not everyone can have one. How absolutely hurtful and positively ridicules. Mind you we were at pretty much at the end of the parade route and they still had a bunch left.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant, so far, since moving to the area. Really good food and the portion size is great. Prices are very reasonable. It seems to be a very popular place for dinner. Plus they offer free ice cream.

Food flavors and proportions are abundant. Their Chil Poblanos are filled with tender, shredded beef, not ground beef. The decor is lovely, Especially the chairs!!! And the Little Extras that the provide. And the care they show to my mother-in-law is Wonderful!!!!

Delicious, fast, and clean. Lovely atmosphere and their food is on par with San Jose but cheaper. Their queso is a little thin but it's still delicious.

The chicken and rice vegetable soup is the best dish there I think and order extra avocados in your soup

Everything here is great. Better than Casa Linda's and a few other's. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant.

There was a time that my family and I loved going to El Poblano and we dined there frequently. The last couple of times we went we were disappointed with our meals. Sadly, after tonight’s meal I don’t believe we will be going back.

5 stars always. Best mexi in Chapin hands down. I won't go anywhere else!

Eat here all the time excellent quality mexican food.

Service was friendly and quick. Prices were comparable to other Mexican restaurants around. There food was pretty tasty. The chairs are all painted with different scenes and interesting to check out. The fish tank is lovely to watch while eating as well. The salsa is mild that comes with the chips. Will be returning on our next visit.

If you're really hungry and don't have a lot of cash to work with El poblanos is where you need to go. They have very good large portions for all of their dishes. Different specials are advertised on the sign out front every day. So far I've only tried the steak nachos plate but it's one of the best plates of nachos I've had by far. Give this place a go if you're in the area and looking to get overly full.
